In 2018, we started using CBD products and experienced the benefits firsthand, and decided to start a retail store. We named our store Utica Hemp Co, after our hometown. We are believers in the healing powers of cannabis and source only the highest quality CBD products for ourselves and customers. In the same year we opened 4 retail stores, and learned quite a bit about CBD and Hemp, and served thousands of satisfied customers.
Our goals for operating our stores successfully, meant always staying up-to-date on CBD and hemp education, and emerging new products. After The Farm Bill of 2018 passed, gray areas of regulations came about specifically with the FDA ruling that CBD is not classified as a dietary supplement. Till this day the FDA has not given any other specific guidelines for selling or producing CBD. Recently, New York has moved forward with their own Hemp and CBD regulations.
